Privacy Policy

• Account information: email address, hashed password, and Apple/Google sign-in identifiers if you use those methods.
• Content you provide: information about yourself and the people you discuss, messages sent to AI assistants, uploaded images, and feedback.
• Usage data: features used, sessions, AI persona interactions, error logs, and performance data.
• Device and technical data: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and an anonymous device identifier.
• Purchase information: Apple processes transactions and shares a receipt identifier and subscription status. We never receive your payment card details.

• Provide the core Smoovly service including AI-generated coaching tailored to you and the people you discuss.
• Remember context across sessions so advice stays consistent over time.
• Process subscriptions and manage your account.
• Improve our AI models through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Communicate with you about your account or material changes to the Service.

Smoovly uses third-party large language model providers to generate responses. When you message a Smoovly AI persona, the text and relevant context are sent to these providers solely to generate a reply. Our providers are contractually prohibited from using your content to train their models. We do not sell your conversations.

We share information with service providers who help us operate Smoovly, including cloud hosting and database providers (MongoDB Atlas, Vercel), AI model providers, Apple (for IAP), and authentication providers (Apple, Google). They may only use your data to provide services to us. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

We retain your account and content while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Email privacy@smoovlyapp.com to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 30 days.

Delete your account anytime in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, messages, target profiles, and feedback history within 30 days. You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@smoovlyapp.com from your account email address.

Smoovly is rated 16+ and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. Contact us to delete any such data.

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your information.

Smoovly is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.

California residents have rights under the CCPA including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under the CCPA. Email privacy@smoovlyapp.com to exercise your CCPA rights.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email before taking effect.
